The combine has two main production units:
- an enrichment plant for producing high-quality iodized table salt “Extra”,
- a mining complex for rock salt extraction.
Table salt “Extra,” with a sodium chloride content of at least 99.5%, is produced through the vacuum evaporation of concentrated brine obtained from underground boreholes up to 1,200 meters deep.
In the combine’s mine, at depths of up to 300 meters, feed-grade rock salt is extracted by drilling and blasting for livestock needs (with a sodium chloride content of not less than 93%), as well as ground salt for technical use (with a sodium chloride content of not less than 90%).
Today, Avan Salt Combine has received a “second wind.” New technologies are being implemented, and new packaging lines have been launched. The combine operates in accordance with the International Food Safety Management system ISO 2200-2018
